Costume? Check. Jack-o-Lanterns? Check. Amazing Halloween themed wedding complete with Bride and Groom as Harley Quinn and Batman? Double check.
Mike and Hannah’s wedding was something truly magical. If you haven’t ever experienced a non-traditional wedding you may think that its making fun of love and the institution of marriage, but this is absolutely not true. In my experience, non-traditional weddings dive deep into the details that brought two people together, what has kept them together, and the intentions they have for the rest of their lives. Hannah and Mike’s wedding was full of details and little easter eggs that gave you a clue into each part of their relationship. It was intentional, it was heartfelt, it was fun and carefree, and really freaking awesome. I’m going to let the pictures, and Hannah’s amazing vows speak for themselves.
The night we met I was a nervous wreck. But when I finally saw you in your Sonic Beanie I felt like I could relax. And after our second date at The Uncommons and a tragic game of Candyland I knew I had stumbled on someone very special.
You are my player 1.
The Swiss to my Cheese.
The Ying to my Yang.
The Psych to my pineapple.
The Keymaster to my GateKeeper.
I can’t promise I won’t tell you to be careful when you go out on stunt gigs. But I do promise to always have tylenol, arnica and tea ready for you at home.
I take you to be my permanent party member, I promise to follow you into the upside down, to always have your back, to be ready to roll for initiative on all of our adventures, and never take a ride in the blue box without you. I don’t know where life will take us but I’m so happy that we will be on the journey together.
You are everything that is right for this world. You are all I need. I love you and I like you.
Hannah and Mike I know that marriage is going to be the best adventure for you two. I know that you will face each foe back to back, that you will fight for your love and protect others, and that you will always be up for any challenge that comes your way. Thank you for inviting me on such a fun journey!
