It’s not often that I start a wedding weekend off by going white water rafting with the bridal party.  But let’s totally make that a new thing!  As we paddled, got soaked, and roller coastered over the swirling white water I could get glimpses of other boats: people laughing, holding on to each other, and jumping out in calm places to swim.  I can't think of a better start to sharing your life together than truly giving your village—your new extended family—your people, time to get to know one another.  After all isn’t that what marriage is?  A union not just of two people but the extensions of themselves.

Union was a big theme that weekend.  Many of the details at the ceremony and reception combined the different aspects of Will & Caro: Texas & West Virginia, Motorcycles & Ceramics, Art and Architecture, Babies and Fur Babies, and most importantly Friends and Family.

I love the intimacy of this wedding.  Many of the guests stayed on site at the venue and we found ourselves walking dogs together, sharing coffee, and of course enjoying stories about the bride and groom.  Both Will and Caro were so laid back that you felt like you had stumbled into a family reunion with the BEST family.

But let's not forget about the lovey dovey stuff.  Above the friendship and the camaraderie there was a sense of unbridled joy between Will and Caro that this was happening!  The morning we went white water rafting Will saw Caro and just wrapped her in a big hug and passionate kiss. He couldn't take his eyes off of her the whole weekend.  Their smiles and eyes said it all.  So cheers to you guys!  Cheers to your amazing family and friends who will continue to guide you along this path.  Cheers to motorcycle taps and bridesmen/groomswomen.  Cheers to bluegrass music and sore feet.  Most of all cheers to your love, may it always be your true north.  Thank you, thank you, thank you for trusting me with this next step in your adventure.
