I don't do a ton of family portraits anymore just because my heart is so full with serving couples and weddings and I want to give my clients the best experience possible. But there are some clients that I just can't say no to, who I have grown with, and who fill me so full of joy. Some of them are Full Heart Project clients who just leave me bursting. And some are great friends.
The Morrison's are incredibly dear to me. If you live in Lexington odds are you know Randall. And if you know Randall, odds are you are going to get the best hug of your life when he sees you. Maya is beautiful, and funny, and one of my all time favorite people. And their girls. You guys, their girls are so amazing. They are funny, and fierce, and full of giggles and attitude. I just love them. All of them. So we have started a tradition that every Mother's day I get to spend time photographing their family. We get some beautiful images but we also focus on the real moments. The perfect "mother's day moments," as Maya and I like to call them which usually entail someone crying (Nahla), someone venturing off (Nora), someone in pain (Maya), and someone laughing (Randall).
Everyone knows that I am a sucker for those real moments. And I am so honored each and every time this family trusts me and lets me in to capture them. You guys are the best and totally have my heart. Cheers to many more years of mother's day sessions! I think when they become teenagers we should have them repose the original ones? Who's with me?
