Austin's Senior Portraits

IMG_2196 I love photographing Senior Portraits!  Its such an exciting time in a persons life, so much possibility and so much unknown!  I was thrilled to have the opportunity to photograph Austin's Senior Portraits in Cades Cove.

Austin just graduated as part of the Class of 2014 at Gibbs High School! We had so much fun running around Cades Cove.  You could tell this is a place that Austin truly connected too.

The historic churches at Cades Cove are one of my favorite places to photograph in.

And of course Senior Portraits aren't complete without a cap and gown!  Thanks to Austin for being a great sport and going along with my crazy antics!  Thanks to his girlfriend Jordan for keeping him laughing for me!  I hope life takes you on an amazing journey Austin, congrats!

Evening Escape

After a long day of editing and writing, Speed Racer and I just absolutely had to get out of the house last night.  We didn't want to spend money, and we wanted to just talk and relax, so we headed to the mountains.  It wasn't as relaxing as planned (there was a lot of traffic) but we did manage to get some photos!

We headed up to Cade's Cove, which as you know from previous posts, is one of my favorite places to go.  As Speed Racer pointed out last night, it's also always kinda hard going there, because it's so similar to where we use to live.  It does make us a little home sick at times, but it's also nice to get some fresh air.

The rest of his turkey friends were too fast for me, sneaky sneaky turkeys.

It's like being on safari!  I'm not lying, half the time I'm in Cade's Cove I expect a T-Rex to come attack our vehicle like in Jurassic Park.

You can't see it, because I didn't have a long enough lens, but there were two beautiful bucks in this field.

We had a little company.

It was a gorgeous night.

I was kind of in love with this tree.

There are lots of pictures of it.

Lots.

I'm sorry.

I....

Love...

It.

It's official.  It's going on my wall.

Cades Cove

If you live near Knoxville, you know about Cades Cove.  It's part of the National Park and is a fantastic place to get away, read a book, ride a bike, enjoy nature, and maybe...just maybe takes some fantastic pictures.  I love Cades Cove.  Speed Racer's Uncle (also a photographer who puts me to shame) took me up there a couple Friday's ago for some fun shooting.  I'm sure you will see many more pictures taken there, but here are just a few of my favorites.
